The Edge comes in five different trim levels, so it should be easy to find one with the exterior features you're looking for. Upgrade to the SEL, and you get 18-inch split-spoke wheels and heated side mirrors.

Opt for the Titanium and you'll find an exterior augmented with 19-inch aluminum wheels, LED turn signal indicators, and power-heated side mirrors with approach lamps. Two potential engine options are available for the Edge, and they each pack an impressive amount of power. The standard engine is already a turbocharged four-cylinder with 250 horsepower. If that's not enough, however, you may be more interested in the 2.7-liter V-6 that puts out an astonishing 335 horsepower, thanks to its twin-turbo capability.

The Edge is designed to offer easy control over its power with performance that makes your drive as efficient as it is fun. For example, Auto Start-Stop Technology has been integrated to save fuel and reduce emissions when you're driving in the city or anywhere else that will have you stopping a lot. With this system, the engine shuts off when you come to a complete stop and seamlessly turns back on when you take your foot off the brake.

The Edge also uses an eight-speed automatic transmission, but if you're looking for a sportier driving experience, don't hesitate to take advantage of the wheel-mounted paddle shifters.

Inside the Edge, there's plenty of room to get comfortable. In the front, you'll have 42.6 inches of legroom, while rear passengers get 40.6 inches of legroom. If you're more interested in taking cargo along on your next trip, you'll have 39.2 cubic feet of space even with all the seats up. Fold the rear row down and that expands to 73.4 cubic feet.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has given it a full five stars for its overall safety rating after conducting extensive crash tests. Additionally, you can drive with peace of mind, thanks to a collection of driver assistance features like automated emergency braking and lane departure warning with lane keep assist, both of which are standard on all models.
