2022 Ford Mustang

For 2022, you can get the Ford Mustang in five trims: EcoBoost, EcoBoost Premium, GT, GT Premium, and Mach 1. All come in a coupe, or you can opt for a convertible, except for Mach 1. Starting with the entry-level EcoBoost, you'll find standard features like rain-sensing wipers and 17-inch wheels. Opt for the EcoBoost Premium or the GT to get larger 18-inch wheels. The GT Premium sits atop 19-inch wheels with performance rubber, and the Mach 1 rolls down the road on an exclusive version of the 19-inch wheels with performance tires.

Two engines are offered for the 2022 Ford Mustang. The base engine is a 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine featuring 310 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque and a six-speed manual transmission. You can also opt for a 10-speed automatic transmission if you wish. You can tweak this engine via the High-Performance package, which will churn out 332 horsepower.

Beginning with the GT trim, you get a 5.0-liter V-8 as the standard option for 450 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. If you go with the Mach 1, the engine ups the horsepower to 470. The same transmission options are available for these engines as well.

The Mustang is a sports car, and thus performance is vital. Standard performance features include a limited-slip differential and locking front brakes to lay down the rubber on a burnout. Opt for the Handling package available for the EcoBoost to get you adaptive suspension dampers, a Torsen limited-slip differential, and upgraded brakes. You can also select the High-Performance package to upgrade brakes, engine cooling, an active exhaust system, and a shorter suspension and rear differential gear ratio.

Move up to the GT to add a limited-slip differential with higher gearing, rev-matched downshifts with the manual transmission and upgraded brakes. The GT Premium offers a Torsen limited-slip differential, improved engine cooling, a sport suspension, and Brembo brakes. For ultimate performance, go with Mach 1 and get the Torsen limited-slip differential, a specific sport suspension with adaptive dampers, Brembo brakes, and a unique exhaust system.

The exterior of the 2022 Ford Mustang is impressive, and the interior is no different. The entry-level EcoBoost includes interior features such as keyless entry and ignition, a Wi-Fi hotspot, a 4.2-inch center display, and a six-speaker stereo. For all trims above the EcoBoost, standard interior features include a nine-speaker audio system controlled via a larger 8-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay capabilities. In addition, you'll find interior ambient lighting, heated and ventilated front seats, partial leather upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, and power-adjustable front seats.
