Your Ford is built to the highest standards of engineering, design, and safety. It also carries comprehensive coverage that protects against the improbable situation of any issue with its construction or operation. As your Ford dealer, we want to tell you more about the coverage your new Ford receives under the 2024 Ford Warranty.
New Car Limited Warranty
This warranty covers your vehicle against any unforeseen issue with the workmanship and materials used to manufacture your Ford. In the unlikely event of a warranty issue, repairs or replacements required to correct the situation will be performed at no cost. Coverage focuses on specific areas and systems in your vehicle and has variable durations. Let’s dive in and take a closer look at each of them in more detail.
Bumper-to-Bumper Coverage
This applies to the majority of systems and components in your Ford. It’s applicable for the first three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. Any warranty repairs or replacements will be made by Ford-trained technicians using Ford-approved parts. The only items not covered by this section of the warranty are those protected by the warranties below or those situations that are specifically excluded.
Factory-installed tires are covered for 100% of replacement charges and prorated coverage depending on their mileage.
Powertrain Coverage
The powertrain comprises your engine, transmission, and FWD or 4WD/AWD drive systems. All the components that form part of these systems are covered for five years or 60,000 miles.
Power Stroke Diesel Coverage
If you have a diesel engine, its components are protected for the first five years or 100,000 miles.
Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Unique Components Coverage
The specialized electrical drivetrain and its components are protected against defects for eight years or 100,000 miles. Gradual capacity loss from the high-voltage battery is not covered, as even this advanced battery will naturally lose some capacity over time.
Safety Restraint Coverage
Your seatbelts and airbag system are protected against unforeseen issues for the first five years or 60,000 miles.
Emissions Coverage
The emissions system converts toxic engine gases into harmless chemicals before they exit the tailpipe. Most emissions control components are protected against any fault for the first two years or 24,000 miles. Certain components like the catalytic converter and the electronic emissions control unit, have extended coverage that’s applicable for eight years or 80,000 miles.
