spring in Paris, TN

Paris, TN is known as the home of the “World’s Largest Fish Fry” annual event. We’re also known for warm spring days and mellow spring evenings. When you’re looking for something to do in spring, we have a plethora of spring activities for you. These are a few of our favorite ways to enjoy a beautiful spring day.

Eiffel Tower Park

The Eiffel Tower in Paris, France, world-famous. We like it so much that we built our own Eiffel Tower. A 1/20th-size replica of the original tower in Paris, France, it now stands at the entrance to this park. The park contains something for everyone, whether you want to relax and sunbathe, hike a trail, or enjoy sports in the sun.

Pickleball courts, tennis courts, and soccer fields are available, together with an outdoor pool and sandy volleyball court. You can play a game of disc golf on the championship-designed course or bike or hike a 3/4 mile nature trail. Food trucks are available, and the restrooms onsite are clean and easily accessible. Eiffel Tower Park can be found at Eiffel Tower Lane, Paris.

Tennessee National Wildlife Refuge

Just 17 minutes southeast of us in Springville, you’ll find this refuge which covers 51,000 acres of grasslands, farmlands, and forests. The refuge opened in 1945 as a resting, feeding, and nesting area for migratory birds. Miles of roads, several hiking trails, and wildlife observation blinds and decks provide plenty of ways to observe avian wildlife.

Twenty-three boat ramps and a fishing pier give plenty of access to water to try and land the perfect catch. Kayaks are available for rent if you want to enjoy a more relaxed water experience. This refuge is located at 1371 Wildlife Drive, Springville.

Kentucky Lake

This lake was formed in 1944 when the Kentucky Dam was constructed. It covers an area of over 160,000 acres and is well-known as an ideal spot to fish. Bass, bluegill, crappie, and catfish are some species you’ll find here. The lake is also the site of record-sized catches of yellow perch, buffalo carp, and white bass.

Boating is very popular on the lake, and you’ll see every type of vessel, from canoes and kayaks to jet skis and pleasure boating. If you want to stay longer, you have the option to hire a houseboat and enjoy more time on the lake. You’ll see numerous birdlife here, including geese, ducks, herons, and eagles. You’ll find an entrance to the lake at 785 Buchanan Resort Road, Springville.
