Paris, TN is a fun city that offers many attractions and special events throughout the year. We are particularly fond of summer because the weather is great, and there are lots of summer activities in the area. Today, we’re highlighting our top three things to do during the summer in Paris.
1. Spend a Relaxing Afternoon at Eiffel Tower Park
Formerly known as Memorial Park, Eiffel Tower Park at 1020 Maurice Fields Drive is a great way to spend a relaxing summer afternoon or evening. Finding the front entrance to this park is a breeze; it is clearly marked by a 60-foot steel Eiffel Tower. In the park, you can find something fun for everyone. Your parents may enjoy the pickleball courts while you and your cousins may enjoy the soccer fields, lighted tennis courts, or sand volleyball courts.
Eiffel Tower Park is also great for family reunions. There are picnic tables, and you can reserve a small or large pavilion. Other fun things to do at Eiffel Tower Park include biking down a beautiful, safe trail, playing 18 holes of disc golf, swimming, and watching your kids play on the playground. You can also walk across the street and fish at Eiffel Tower Extended, an extension of the park that features a biannually stocked trout pond.
2. Go Fishing at Green Acres Lake
Another great way to spend a beautiful summer day is to go fishing at Green Acres Lake at 1020 Cowan Street. Hook your boat up to your 2023 Ford F-150 Tremor, make sure your tackle box is fully loaded, pack a cooler, and spend a day catching your dinner. You can only harvest one Flathead, Channel, or Blue Catfish that is over 34″ daily. However, there are no restrictions on the number of smaller catfish you can harvest each day.
Besides catfish, there are lots of other fish this lake is stocked with, including:
- Walleye
- Smallmouth Bass
- Largemouth Bass
- White Crappie
- Common Carp
3. Throw a Birthday Party at Sweet Jordan’s
You can also have a fun-filled summer day by throwing a birthday party at Sweet Jordan’s, conveniently located at 849 Volunteer Drive Suite 1.
