From a pint-sized Eiffel Tower to a fragrant lavender farm, western Tennessee boasts local attractions that are both fun and unique. And if Paris, TN is your home base, there are plenty of great spots to visit that are within easy driving distance.

1. Eiffel Tower Park

Eiffel Tower Park features a unique local landmark and an abundance of family-friendly activities. Be sure to check out the 60-foot steel Eiffel Tower, which is located near the park’s front entrance at 1020 Maurice Fields Drive. There’s even a “selfie platform” if you’d like to snap a photo with the tower.

Once you’ve seen the tower, there are a variety of recreational opportunities to enjoy, including walking trails, a playground, tennis courts, and soccer fields. Picnic pavilions, an outdoor pool, and a disc golf course are also available at this park.

2. Paris-Henry County Heritage Center

History buffs will want to visit the Paris-Henry County Heritage Center. Housed in an Italian Renaissance Revival mansion, this museum and cultural center showcases local history dating back to the early years. The mansion, called Cavitt Place, was built in 1916 by Colonel O.C. Barton, a prominent local businessman and philanthropist in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

You can find Cavitt Place, which served as an army office during World War II and later as the county health department, at 614 North Poplar St.

3. Lavender Kisses Farm

If you’re interested in a road trip that’s both fun and relaxing, head about 30 minutes south to Lavender Kisses Farm in Hollow Rock, TN. Take a hay wagon tour of the lavender fields, visit the farm cows, and purchase small-batch hand-crafted items from the farm gift shop. The hypnotic fragrance of fields of lavender fields will leave you relaxed and refreshed.

4. Paris Landing State Park

Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy Paris Landing State Park: an 841-acre park located on the shores of Kentucky Lake. This park is the perfect spot for watersports like fishing, boating, swimming, and waterskiing. There are also hiking trails and an 18-hole golf course.

To make the most of your time at the park, throw an overnight bag into your Ford Bronco Sport and plan to stay in one of the onsite campsites or cabins. There’s also a lodge that offers hotel-style accommodations. Located at 16055 Hwy. 79 N in Buchanan, TN, this park is just a 20-minute drive from Paris.
