Are you in the mood for authentic Southern smokehouse cooking? We recommend these four spots for the best barbecue in Paris, TN.

1. Perry’s BBQ and Catering

This family-owned barbecue joint opened in Paris in 2013. The husband-and-wife team behind Perry’s produces smoky favorites like ribs, brisket, and chicken, available in meals with homestyle sides as well as family packs that can feed your whole crew. BBQ nachos, sandwiches, and desserts round out the menu.

Perry’s offers cafeteria-style dine-in service along with take-out and catering. In addition to the dine-in and take-out menu, you can purchase smoked meats by the pound or a whole smoked pork butt. It’s located at 1055 Mineral Wells Avenue and is open Monday through Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

2. The Point BBQ

Located in downtown Paris, The Point gets a lot of local attention for good reason. The locally owned restaurant serves delicious barbecue chicken and pork, which you can get as a meal with sides or on a sandwich. You can also order pit salads with BBQ on top, loaded baked potatoes, and loaded nachos. Family packs, fried pies, and smoked bologna are also popular menu options.

If you live or work nearby, don’t miss the daily lunch special at The Point, which includes a sandwich, chips, and a drink. It’s located at 215 East Ruff Street, with hours from 11 a.m. through 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

3. Trolinger’s

This butcher shop with a BBQ counter has been a Paris mainstay since 1917. You can have your choice of BBQ chicken, ribs, or pulled pork, all with baked beans, cole slaw, potato salad, and a roll. Trolinger’s also has pulled pork by the pound, whole pork shoulders, half chickens, and family packs.

Don’t forget to bring home the shop’s signature fried pork skins and homemade barbecue sauce, available by the pint, gallon, or quart. Trolinger’s is located at 2305 East Wood Street in Paris. It’s open from Monday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

4. Take Me Back Cafe

You can’t miss anything on this small but excellent menu of classic Southern fare. Take Me Back Cafe serves traditional pork BBQ, all-you-can-eat fried fish, brisket, and burgers. We love eating in the classic diner atmosphere with red booths and checkered floors, but you can also get take-out here.

The restaurant is located at 301 West Wood Street in Paris. It’s open 7 a.m. through 2 p.m. Saturday through Thursday and Friday 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
