Paris Ford Service Center

Your Ford is a great investment, and you want to protect that investment. As time passes, wear and tear on your car will cause damage. To keep your car in excellent shape, you need regular services. Your Ford dealership in Paris, TN, is here to help you with all your service needs. These are just some of the many services we can provide for your car.

Tire Rotation

Your tires are subject to constant damage as you drive. The tread slowly wears off due to damage from the road surface. The position of your tires on your car and the type of drivetrain both contribute to wear and damage to your tires. Worn spots on your tires will become bigger and can cause a leak or a blowout. Rotating your tires is one of the ways you can extend your tire lifespan.

When we rotate your tires, we move them to positions where they are subject to less wear. Usually, tires are swapped between the front and rear, and they may also change sides between left and right. This reduces the strain on the tires and enables them to wear down at a more uniform and even rate. Regular rotations will allow you to keep your tires in good condition for longer and enable you to plan for their replacement.

Transmission Services

The transmission is probably the hardest working part of your car. It’s responsible for translating the power of your engine into a usable form to move your wheels. A transmission is filled with hundreds of different parts, many of which move at speed. The complex nature of the transmission means that even a small problem in the transmission can lead to serious problems.

When we service your transmission, we remove and replace the transmission fluid, replace the transmission filter, and clean the transmission. We also test and replace the gaskets and seals as required. Gaskets will gradually wear out, and seals can shrink. A regular transmission service will keep your transmission healthy for many years to come.

Alternator Replacement

The alternator is a mini generator in your engine that produces electrical power for your car. It’s powered by the movement of the crankshaft which causes it to spin and generate electricity for your car’s systems and devices. An alternator will usually last at least eight years before it needs to be replaced.

When your alternator starts to fail, your car will develop electrical problems. Random glitches, dim lights, and starting problems are some of the signs of a failing alternator. We can easily test your alternator and replace it with a new one if necessary.

We have many other services available for your car. Call us today at Joe Mahan Ford.
